Why do we choose to turn a blind eye towards things that so blatanty leads us to a path of self destruction? Does forgiveness and love go hand in hand or are they mutually destructive? Have I changed or does it seem like everyone else around me has?

Chee..this isn't about me..Can you truly love someone enough to overlook the fact that they are going to hurt you in the end?And you know its going to happen but you give it a shot because you're in love with them.Is that what love is about?Forgiving and digging your own grave?
yeah., the world still exists with a _lot_ of lying men _and_women_., but all men dont lie., and all women dont lie.. Quite true that the lying ones that we encounter destroy the lil bit of faith we have in the other sex., in love., blah.. blah.. we forgive because we love.. We dont forgive because we expect some love back..

I am concerned that my lil sis is turning a blind eye to a path of self-destruction.
In my life forgivness and love always go hand in hand. Thats when you know you truly love someone.
The truer loves are the ones who forget :-)
